The Holy Names University women’s soccer team is participating in an annual nationwide fundraiser from the National Foundation for Cancer Research called “NFCR’s Kick Cancer Team.” The campaign invites soccer teams around the country to participate by committing to donate proceeds from at least one game or special event to NFCR.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon in front of a small crowd of 60 the Holy Names University Hawks were out flown by the Concordia University Eagles of Irvine, California. The HNU men's soccer team has a promising start for the 2011 season.The men now with a new Head Coach, Nick Lusson received a pre-season ranking of 16 in the 2011 NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll. The NAIA national office announced the rankings on Monday. The Hawks finished their 2010 season with a record of 14-5-2 under former Head Coach, Tim Hart.
