Atherton, CA - Going into Saturday's game against Oaks, HNU held a ½ game lead on both William Jessup and Menlo College. HNU had to defeat the Oaks as well as have William Jessup loss to UC Merced in order to stay in second place and that is exactly what happened. The Hawks defeat the Oaks 83-71 and William Jessup lost to UC Merced 54-57. With the win HNU takes sole possession of second place and earn a first round bye in the California Pacific Conference Tournament.

Oakland, CA - Holy Names celebrated their senior night with a battle against the Keelhaulers of Cal State University, Maritime Saturday night in a capacity filled Tobin Gymnasium. The game would come down to the last 3.7 seconds, with HNU inbounding under CSUM's basket. Mike McElroy would throw the perfect pass, but the Hawks would miss a lay-up at the buzzer to give Cal Maritime the one point victory 58-59.

Redding, CA - HNU travelled the three and a half hour drive to Redding to take on the Red Hawks of Simpson University. The Hawks jumped out on Simpson early and after a momentary lead in the second half, HNU managed to close out the Red Hawks, earning their six conference win 79-73.

Merced, CA - Holy Names went on the road to Merced to take on the 5th place Golden Bobcats Saturday night. From the start the game was a battle, but HNU would manage a second half push and mounted a 12 point lead with 10 minutes left in the game. Countless HNU turnovers and missed lay-ups in the last six minutes of the game allowed the Bobcats to take a three point lead late. HNU would take a couple prayer shots, but would come up short and give Merced its third win of the year 71-74.

Oakland, CA - The Hawks hosted the Pioneers in a California Pacific Conference match-up Thursday night in Tobin Gymnasium. The hosts would jump out on Pacific Union 9-0 out of the gate, behind Karlos Grier hot shooting from behind the arc (3 of 4). HNU would turn the fast start into a 15 point and would not look back, in route to the 62-47 victory.
