The NAIA honored three California Pacific Conference student athletes by placing them on the 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar Athletes. To make the national list, the student-athletes must be a junior or above in academic standing, been in attendance at the nominating institution a minimum of one full year of attendance and has a minimum GPA of 3.5, on a 4.0 scale, at the time of nomination at the nominating institution.

Oakland, CA- California Pacific Conference's commisioner, Don Ott announced the Women's Volleyball All-Conference Teams this moring. Among this list 5 HNU players were selected to the 1st or 2nd Team. Senior, Kayla Coleman recieved the Libero Of Year award and Ashley Nickel recieved the Player of the Year award. Head Coach, Dwight Combs was honored with the Coach of the Year award.

Holy Names University senior Samantha Miller had 14 kills in the Hawks' final regular season match and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the dates of October 31st through November 6th, 2011.
Sat, Nov 5, 2011 - [Volleyball]
Atherton, CA- Menlo College hosted the Hawks tonight in the final match of the Cal Pac Conference season for both teams. Regardless of the night's outcome, Holy Names already clinched the Cal Pac Championship and will depart for the east coast this week to compete in a "qualifying match" against the winner of the American Mideast Conference. The winner of this match will stamp their ticket to the NAIA National Championships. Tonight the Hawks chopped down the Oaks 3-0.

Oakland, CA- Holy Names University senior Samantha Miller had 18 kills in two matches in the Hawks' historic 2-0 week and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the dates of October 24th through 30th, 2011.
