PORTLAND, Ore. - The Hawks travelled to Portland to take on the Cavaliers of Concordia University in the opening round of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championships. The Hawks faced the Cavaliers earlier in the year and lost 2-1. Today the Cavaliers would see the same results, beating the Hawks by a score 3-1 and advancing to Decatur, Ala.

Britney Potestio take Freshman of the Year Award
Oakland, CA - If the Cal Pac women's soccer all-conference selections are a picture of what is to come, then the prospects are indeed bright for the league's future of the sport. A combined twenty underclassmen dominated the teams, including the co-players of the year - junior Courtney Opie from Simpson University, and sophomore Lindsey Cesena from William Jessup University.

Erica Udell looks to help the Hawks at nationals
Oakland, CA - Holy Names women soccer has been named the Cal Pac champion after regular season winner William Jessup forfeited two league contests following their discovery of an administrative error. HNU's record is now 11-8-0 overall, 9-1-0 in conference action. The Hawks advance to play #6 Concordia (Ore.) in the NAIA national tournament on Nov. 21 in Portland.

Rocklin, CA - William Jessup (8-0-1 Cal Pac, 17 points) defeated Menlo 3-1 on Saturday to set up a "for all the marbles" match on the final day of the regular season when Holy Names (8-1 Cal Pac, 16 points) comes calling. The winner receives the conference automatic spot in the NAIA nationals.
