Holy Names recieves the 25th spot in the 2011-12 season at No. 1 in the NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Friday. The Hawks, who finished 1st in all Pre-season California Pacific Conference meets this fall earned 80 total points. HNU's squad lead by senior, Shane Conner helped lead the team to setting a school record, shooting 11 under par in an 18 hole score.

SILVIS, Ill.-After a long day of golf, Oklahoma Christian took control of the 2011 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships at TPC Deere Run. Playing 27 holes Thursday after rain shortened the first two days of action, the Eagles fired a one-under-par 283 in the Third Round and now lead the field by 23 shots.

Golf Qualifies for 60th NAIA National Championships
Oakland, CA - Nationals Holy Names' men's golf team, the 2011 Cal Pac champions, finished second in the Western Unaffiliated Grouping qualifier and will compete in the 60th NAIA national championships later this month at TPC Deere Run. Hawks golfers Stephen Edman (3rd, 214, -2) and Austin Fink (6th, 220, +4) were the top HNU finishers in the qualifier. Edman was the Cal Pac player of the year.
