One week after defending their 2008-2009 title at the CSU San Marcos
Invitational, HNU confidently looked to take the top spot at the Arizona
Intercollegiate hosted by Southern Nazarene University.
HNU men's golf claimed victory for the second year in a row at the CSU San Marcos
Invitational, which wrapped up with its third and final round Tuesday
morning.
The 12-team field competed at on the par-72, 6,750-yard San Luis Rey
Downs Golf Course in Bonsall. Winning the tournament, the hawks led after every round and finished with a
three-round team total of 868. Cal Baptist took second with an 883,
and CSU San Bernardino placed third with an 892.

Oklahoma City University has been named the No. 1 team in the preseason
NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced
Friday. The Stars earned all 19-possible first-place votes for 529
points. Oklahoma City captured third place at the NAIA Men's Golf
Championship last season.
Heavy rain and winds cause Chico State to shorten the InterWest Chico State
Invitational with only tiebreakers for the top four spots were played on
Tuesday.
The HNU Hawks started conference play on Thursday with dominating win shooting 582 (287-295) to top second place finisher William Jessup by 44 shots. David Brown led the way for the Hawks finishing as the low individual shooting 144 (69-75).
