Oakland, CA- The Holy Names Men's and Women's Cross Country, started the season running a 2 and 1 Mile time trial at Redwood Park. On the Men's side, new recruit from San Francisco Fernando Diaz came in first, closely followed by returning runner and captain Zach Holt. On the Women's side, new recruit from San Francisco Agnes Silvestro crossed the finish first, followed by returning runner and captain Maricruz Espindola.

Marion, IN - Juan Gomez represented Holy Names University in the NAIA National Championship Marathon Saturday, May 26, 2010, at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.

Marion, Ind. - Holy Names University runner Juan Gomez is headed to Marion Indiana for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship. After running a stellar performance at the Oakland Distance Festival Half Marathon in a time of 1:12:59 (5:34 per mile pace), he qualified to Nationals in the Marathon. Currently, his time placed him 14th in the Country for the marathon set to be run on May 29th at 6:00am. Before running the Oakland Half Marathon, Juan Gomez put in 7 consecutive weeks of 130 miles per weeks.

Oakland, CA - Juan Gomez is a senior cross country runner for the Hawks and in his career here he has been able to do some amazing things. Last fall he led the Hawks to a California Pacific Conference Championship while qualifying for nationals.

Redding, CA - The Hawks travelled to Simpson University, the site of this years' cross country championships. Going in to the race the Hawks were confident enough to compete, and compete they did, winning their sixth California Pacific Conference Championship.
