OAKLAND, CA- After taking down Pacific Union College last night, the Hawk squad was fired up ready to take on the Cal State San Marcos Cougars. Quickly their fire was extinguished by San Marcos. The Cougars came hard from the start attacking the Hawks 87-46.

OAKLAND,CA- February 1st was National Girls and Women In Sports Day. Holy Names celebrated the event yesterday bringing education and awareness to the campus. Today the women's team carried the celebration into their play against the Pacific Union College Pioneers.

OAKLAND, California - The Holy Names University women's basketball team took to the court on Saturday, Jan. 14th against the Simpson University, Red Hawks. The Hawks pushed out Simpson 93-75.

Holy Names University sophomore Soulijah Evans averaged 15.5 points in four game for the Hawks weekend and was selected as the California Pacific Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the dates of December 19th, 2011 through January 8th, 2012.

Holy Names University's women's basketball team defined the term "NEVER GIVE UP." As they gutted past the William Jessup Warriors in the last seconds of the game to win 56-55.
