Tanya Roberts - Grad Assistant - 1st Season
Tanya Roberts, an east bay native from Fremont, Calif., played for Washington High School. She then went on to play in college for the University of Nevada Las Vegas. From there she became a two- time All-Mountain West Conference player, MWC tournament MVP and All-Western Region Team selection. She was the school's all-time leader in career games played with 83. She capped off her senior season by leading UNLV to its third consecutive Mountain West Conference championship and third consecutive NCAA school appearance. Coach Roberts graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education and a minor in Coaching. She played with WPSL teams all across the country including the Las Vegas Tabagators, Rush Salt Lake and Adirondack Lynx in Saratoga, New York.
Coach Roberts started coaching for UNLV as the Undergraduate Assistant in 2007 and 2008 and then went on to become the Volunteer Assistant for St. Mary's College in 2008. She coached club for F.C. Fremont, Adirondack Lynx and Las Vegas football club and is currently a trainer for Dublin United Soccer league. Coach Roberts is the Las Lomas Varsity head coach and ODP District coach. Coach Roberts is studying for her Masters Degree in Urban Education at Holy Names. Roberts holds a NSCAA National Diploma and USSF ‘D' license.
