Dwight Combs - Head Coach - 3rd Season
 
Coach Dwight Combs enters his third season as the HNU Men's and Women's Head Volleyball Coach. Coach Combs comes to Holy Names University from Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, California, where he served as both assistant coach for both the men's and women's volleyball programs under head coach Tate Walthall.
 
In 2003, after three seasons with the men's program Dwight was named head coach. The following year he was named head coach of the women's program. Coach Combs head a very successful men's program for three seasons until it ended in 2006. Taking over LMC women's which was 2-16 the season prior to his appointment as head coach, Dwight's first season at LMC was a re-building year finishing 3-15.
 
Over the next three seasons Coach Combs guided the Mustangs to a winning record, improving their number of wins and conference standing in each season. A graduate of Antioch high school, he played varsity volleyball and soccer, Dwight continued playing both sports at Los Medanos College.
 
Coach Combs earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in exercise science in 1998 from Sacramento State University.
 
Dwight has been the club director/head coach for East Bay Jrs. Volleyball club since 2003, with the move to Holy Names Coach Combs is launching Evolution VBC a new volleyball club for junior players in the east bay that will be based on the Holy Names campus. Dwight hopes that this club will become a feeder program for HNU Volleyball.
 
Coach Combs finished last season with a 13-17 record overall and 9-3 conference record. The Hawks finished tied for second in California Pacific Conference play. With a solid group this year returning, Coach Combs looks to finish at the top of the California Pacific Conference.
 
Dwight currently resides in Walnut Creek, California.

Colleen Boston - Grad Assistant - 2nd Season
Colleen Boston enters her second season as a graduate assistant with the Women's Volleyball program.
 
Boston played all four years with the Hawks and was a team captain her sophomore, junior, and senior year. She was a part of the squad in 2008 when they won the Cal Pac Conference.  Coach Boston was an honorable mention conference player her freshman year, a second team conference pick her sophomore year, and a first team all conference player her last two years.  She was named the Region II libero of the week and was in contention for the National Libero of the Week her senior year.
 
Boston graduated from HNU in 2009, receiving her B.A. in Liberal Studies. She is currently pursuing her Multiple Subject Credential and Maters in Education, while working at a local Public School. She also coaches club volleyball and will be entering her seventh season with Xceleration Volleyball Club in the fall.
 
Colleen currently resides in Oakland, CA.
 

Jennifer Perkins Image
Jennifer Perkins - Grad Assistant - 3rd Season
Coach Jennifer Perkins enters her third year as a graduate assistant with the Women's Volleyball program. Jennifer played volleyball and was the captain for Holy Names University four years from 2004-2008. This will be her second year coaching with Dwight Combs the head coach. The teams she played on were in the running for a championship in each of her first three years, whereas they broke through to win the Cal Pac in her senior season.
 
Jennifer Perkins graduated in May 2008 receiving her B.A. in Liberal Studies and minor in mathematics. She is now pursing her Multiple Subject Credential, and Masters in Education degree while working as a Graduate Enrollment Counselor in the Admissions Department at Holy Names University.
 
Jennifer chose HNU because of the small friendly environment, Bay Area, volleyball and it being a Catholic University. Jennifer has always loved playing sports where in high school she played Volleyball, basketball, soccer and track. Soccer and Volleyball were her two favorite sports while playing varsity soccer and track for all four years and volleyball for three.
