Oakland, CA - The Game came into tonight's contest having played the Bruins last night and beating the Bruins in three games. Tonight was more of the same. The Hawks came out from the start ready to compete and beating the cyclones tonight 25-12, 25-15, 25-19. 
Leading the Hawks tonight was sophomore Ashley Nickell who on the night had 12 kills on 24 attempts as well as 7 digs. Also contributing was junior Rebecca Chase who tonight had 9 kills on 13 attempts as well as 15 assists. Junior Natalie Kasbarian had 23 assists and 3 service aces.
 
With the win the Hawks move to 7-2 in Cal Pac play and 9-14 overall.This leaves the Hawks one game above William Jessup and in second place in the California Pacific Conference.
 
Next for the Hawks is a non-conference match at Academy of Art University on October 29, 2009. The Hawks last played the Urban Knights on 15th of October where they lost in five games.
