Hawks celebrate after a huge block!
Oakland, CA - Tonight was an important game for the Hawks as the winner of tonight's contest would claim sole possession of second place in the Cal Pac Standing. From the start of the match the Hawks came out swinging and even after a little bump along the way they managed to defeat the Warrior of William Jessup University 3-1.
After losing a tough game last night to Div. II Academy of Art San Francisco in five games, the Hawks bounced back with a convincing win over the Warriors. The Hawks struggled in the second game losing 26-24, but would come back and win the next two closing out the win for the Hawks.

Leading the Hawks again tonight were junior Rebecca Chase and sophomore Ashley Nickell. Chase finished the night with 16 kills, 11 assist and 8 digs, while Nickell finished with 16 kills and 16 digs. Also playing big for the Hawks was junior Kayla Coleman who on the night led the Hawks with 21 digs. Junior setter Natalie Kasbarian also contributed with 28 assist on the night. One impressive stat for tonight is the Hawks dug 91 times to William Jessup's 36.

Next for the Hawks is Menlo College who the Hawks lost to in five games back on September 25th. The Oaks stand in first place at 6-0 and the Hawks are right behind them at 5-1. With a win tomorrow night at Menlo College the Hawks would be tied with the Oaks for first place in the Cal Pac standings. Game time is at 7PM in Atherton, CA. Come out and support your Hawks!
