Heavy rain and winds cause Chico State to shorten the InterWest Chico State Invitational with only tiebreakers for the top four spots were played on Tuesday.Stephen Edman finished the 36 hole tournament tied for individual medal honors with Chico States' Sylvester Gama. With the team championship already decided, Edman and Gama hit the course to decide the individual champion. On the 2nd hole of the playoff Chico States' Gama made a great par to capture the individual medal honors.

Edman and the Hawks shared the team title with Chico State University each shooting 3-over par 579. Cal State Stanislaus and Saint Martin's finished in a tie for third 11 strokes back.

The Hawks' Daren Johnson finished eight at 3-over par with a second round 72. First round leader Garrett True who shot 2-under par and David Brown finished tied for 12th at 4-over par. Trevor Jones finished the event in 24th at 6-over par placing all five team members in the top 25.

Next for the Hawks' is the Mustang Invitational on October 26th.
