Oakland, CA- After a two hour delay and an earthquake the HNU women's volleyball team took 3 games from the Pacific Union College Pioneers. Holy Names defeated PUC 25-17, 25-17, and 25-16. 
Both teams tackled one another battling out the first match. The point score traveled back and forth between both institutions until Holy Names came out on top. In the 2nd game the Pioneers found themselves on top with a score of 5-1. After a time out called by Coach Combs, the Hawks climbed their way back to the top scoring 6 service points and then fought to 25. The Red and Black attacked in the final game winning 25-16.
 
 Senior, Samantha Miller led her team with 16 kills.
 
Holy Names will play Simpson University next Friday, October 28 at home.
