Berkeley, CA - The Hawks played the Bruins on Wednesday afternoon, and from the start of the game found themselves controlling the game. Two minutes into the game junior mid-fielder Robert Zevallos scored the first goal of this very physical match.
The Hawks never looked back scoring three goals in the first half and adding another four in the second. The Bruins did manage to score one goal in the match, but it came in the 71th minute by junior forward Gabriel Cassaro. The game ended in a victory by the Hawks as they stay undefeated in conference play at 2-0 and beating the Bruins 7-1.
 
The Hawks were lead by senior standout Mustafa Celik who last year lead the country in scoring goals and also lead this game with 10 shots, 8 shot on goals, 3 goals scored and one assist. With this stellar performance it brings Mustafa to seven goals on the year.
 
Juniors Shea Whealan and Doug Alves also chipped in with four shots a piece and three and two shots on goal respectively. They both each scored a goal, and Doug Alves also contributed with an assist to Mustafa Celik.
 
The Hawks continue conference play on Saturday, October 3, 3009 as they take on California State University, Maritime. Game start time will be 3:00 PM.Come out and support your Hawks!
