Berkeley, CA - The Hawks beat Bethany University 7-0 in their second game of the season. The hawks scored 6 of the 7 goals in the first half of the game.
The first goal was scored by Nikol Molano and assisted by Victoria Albaracin. Molano shot low to the far post just missing the Bethany keeper after Albaracin made a great leading pass through the Bethany defense. Negine Mansour scored the second goal after finishing a cross on the ground from Nikol Molano. Nikol Molano had the third goal with a shot to the low right corner after intercepting a pass by the Bethany defense and creating a breakaway. The fourth goal was scored by Sabel Maguire who finished a cross by Kestrel Colomb with a volley into the back of the net. Monique Reyes had the fifth goal, which went into the far post corner on a cross from the outside. Negine Mansour finished off a through ball from freshman Jaclyn Suan scoring the last goal in the first half. Although the Hawks struggled with Bethany's offside trap in the second half, Heidi Larson scored the seventh and final goal of the game with a rocket shot to the back of the net from outside the eighteen yard box. The Hawks played well possessing and passing throughout the whole game, having a total of 37 shots on goal to zero at the end of the game.
