Vancouver, WA - Holy Names University Women's Cross Country team traveled to the border between Oregon and Washington to race against the best runners in the country in the 2010 NAIA Cross Country Nationals, hosted in Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, the lady hawks placed 28th in the team standings with a total of 888 points, the NAIA consist of 220 schools on the women's side nationwide.
On the women's side, the 5K course consisted of grass and mud, the race started very fast and it didn't slowdown at all. Holy Names first runner was Agnes Silvestro who went out fast right from the start finishing the racing with a time of 19:26, following Silvestro was Maricruz Espindola who ran strong finishing with a time 21:29, following Espindola was Erica Sandoval who kept her teammates in sight finishing with a time of 21:50, following Sandoval was Maricruz Ramales who had a smart race came from behind to help the team finishing with a time of 23:06, following Ramales was Alejandro Lugo who rounded the top five to give the team a score, Lugo ran tough finishing with a time of 23:12, following Lugo was Lauren Broussard who gave a good effort pushing the pace from the start finishing with a time of 23:29, following Broussard, rounding out the team was Robin Graber who hard to finish the season with a time of 24:13.
