Oakland, CA - The Hawks face a Slug team that lost many seniros the year before.  One would think that this would stop the Slug's chemistry, but even though they struggled against the Hawks they fould a way to win.The Hawks had a slow start loosing the first game, but came back to win games two and three.  Unfortunately, the Hawks were not able to pull through in games four and five. Loosing 2-3 the scores of the games were 19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, and 12-15. Ashley Nickell led the Hawks with 16 kills, Ariel Carmichael behind her with 11 kills, and Kendra Vasquez and Brittany Silvia with 8 kills. Rebecca Chase leading with 17 assists.

Holy Names University begin league with two wins in pre-season. They will start the season against Menlo at home on Friday.
