Belmont, Ca - The Holy Names Women's Cross Country team traveled to Belmont for the first annual Notre Dame de Namur Battle of the Bay Invitational, on the hilly course of Crystal Springs. The Lady Hawks finished 3rd place out of nine schools with a team score of 100, San Jose State won the race with a team score of 36 followed by by Cal State East Bay with 40.

Agnes Silvestro was the top runner for HNU, finishing the 2.95 mile course in a time of 19:15, good for 3rd place overall, Silvestro was followed by teammate Erica Sandoval who finished 11th in a time of 19:58, Maricruz Espindola finished 18th in 20:35, next came Alejandra Lugo finishing 38th in a time of 21:54, and rounding up the top 5 for team scoring Robin Graber finishing 53rd in 23:15.

Next meet is on 9/18 at Mills College for the Mills Invitational, this meet is considered to be one of the most important meets of the season not only is the location of the Cal-Pac Championships but it's a meet where HNU will see most of it's conference competitors.
