Freshman Middle Rachel Vartanian leading the Hawks with Kills
Oakland, CA - The Eagles traveled from Los Angeles to play Holy Names University. A short match improves the Hawks record to 3-4. 
At 7:00pm on Friday night that HNU hosted the West Baptist College in their first late night match. Holy Names came ready to play and instantly took control of the entire match in the first set. They went on to win the first set 25-10, which led the Hawks to believe that they could dominate the court for the rest of the game, and they were completely right. They went on to win the second game, 25-13 and again winning the third game 25-9.
 
Freshman Rachel Vartarian led both teams with a perfect game of 8 kills out of 8 attempts. Britney Silvia and Samantha Miller followed with 7 kills. Ariel Carmichael also had a perfect hitting game with 4 kills out of 4 attempts.
 
Holy Names Haws only allowed West Coast Baptist Eagles 9 kills for the entire match. Elizabeth Marks led the Eagles with 4 kills. The Eagles a negative hitting percentage the entire match.
 
HNU Hawks now go on the road to play Wayland Coast Baptist on September 10th at 1:00pm.
