Oakland, CA- The Holy Names Men's and Women's Cross Country, started the season running a 2 and 1 Mile time trial at Redwood Park. On the Men's side, new recruit from San Francisco Fernando Diaz came in first, closely followed by returning runner and captain Zach Holt. On the Women's side, new recruit from San Francisco Agnes Silvestro crossed the finish first, followed by returning runner and captain Maricruz Espindola.  After this time trial it is clear that on the Men's side a repeat of last year season of going to Nationals is within reach. On the Women's side shows a promising team, again with the goal of making the trip to Vancouver, Washington for Nationals.

The hawks will face Mills college on Wednesday 9/1 in a 1-Mile scrimmage, a good preparation before the NDNU Invitational at Crystal Springs in Belmont on 9/4, which will include quite a few teams from the Cal-Pac Conference.
