REEDLEY, CA: Holy Names University Department of Athletics announced the signing of Tyrell Vaughn to play Basketball for the Hawks in 2010-2011.
The 6'6" guard is a 2005 graduate of Redwood High School in Visalia, California. Vaughn helped lead the Rangers to back to back 20 win seasons, as a Junior he averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game. Ty was named one of the top 25 players in Tulare County as a Senior, averaging 11 points 5 rebounds and 4 assists per contest.
 
Vaughn took his game to Reedley College and filled the 6th man role as a Freshman, averaging 7 points and 4 rebounds for the Tigers in 2007-2008. As a Sophomore in 2008-2009, he would start every game for Reedley College, averaging 10 points, 5rebounts and 4 assists per game. Ty was an integral part of the Tiger's reaching the final 8 of the State Tournament in 2009. For his efforts he was named Honorable Mention All-Conference, as well as being selected 1st Team All-Defensive Team in the Conference.
