Freshman outfielder Alexis Moctezuma leading the way
Oakland, CA - The California Pacific Conference announced the 2010 Softball All-Conference and the Hawks lead the way with 9 players making the list. 
Leading the way for the Hawks was freshman outfielder Alexis Moctezuma. Junior Melanie Verrico, and last year's player of the year Stephani Fairclough rounds off the first team all conference for Holy Names.
 
On the second all conference team, sophomore short-stop Lacy Parodi, freshman outfielder Taryn Thomas, and junior pitcher Markie Benavidez-Talbott make the list.
 
Making the honorable mention team is freshman outfielder Allison Snider, senior infielder Jessica Merriam, and freshman third basement Laurel Clough The Hawks who finished second in conference this year with a 12-4 in Cal Pac play and 27-10 overall, won out the Cal Pac/Frontier NAIA softball qualifier, including a clinching 4-1 victory over Cal Pac champs, Simpson University.
 
With the win Holy Names advances and returns to the NAIA National Championships in Decatur, Alabama, on May 20-26.
 
The brackets will be announced on May 11th.
