Oakland, CA - Congratulations to Markie Benavidez-Talbott. The California Community College Commission on Athletics, the governing body for all community college athletics, and the California College Athletics Association has named Markie as one of 15 student-athletes to be selected for the 2009 COA/CCCAA Scholar Athlete Honor Roll.Markie earned this award by maintaining over a 3.5 GPA at Cosumnes River College. Markie is just one of 15 community college scholar-athletes, and the only softball representative in the state to receive the award. She accepted her award at a luncheon ceremony attended by her CRC coaches and athletics staff in Ontario, CA on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
