The HNU Hawks went into the game against Concordia an unbeaten team this year. They had previously tied with Corban College and The Masters College, and won against Point Loma. Concordia would be their biggest test yet.

The HNU Hawks went into the game against Concordia an unbeaten team this year. They had previously tied with Corban College and The Masters College, and won against Point Loma. Concordia would be their biggest test yet.

Concordia have been ranked number 2 in the National Polls this year, and came into the game ranked Number 9.

The Hawks changed up their formation opting for a sweeping role. Captain Shea Whelan stepped up to the plate with a big game and had a solid performance at the back. Concordia were putting a lot of pressure on the Hawks throughout the game, and it took 65 minutes for them to score.

The Hawks had one chance to tie the game with Jonathan Tinjaca sliding the ball into the net past the keeper, only to be ruled offside.

The game finished 1-0 to Concordia.

HNU face tough opponents Fresno Pacific University On tuesday 22nd September, a team that they lost to last year 3-1.
