Katie Stiles for three!
Oakland, CA - Tonight the Hawks honored two seniors - Katie Stiles and Larisa Nakasone. For Larisa it was more of a player/coach position as she ended her season earlier in the year when she had ACL reconstruction, but for Katie Stiles it was a great night. Stiles led the Hawks tonight with 16 points and 7 rebounds, and a victory over the Pioneers of Pacific Union 78-35.
Holy Names held the Pioneers to 18% shooting from the field and 14% from the arch. JoAnne Mauries led the Pioneers with 10 points on the night. Julie Ford added a game high 11 rebounds.

The Hawks on the other hand shot 37% from the field and a staggering 45% from the arch on 11-25 shooting. Three HNU players scored double figures, leading the way was senior Katie Stiles with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Anitra McCain and Marie Vodicska also contributed with 12 and 10 points respectively.

On a side note for the Hawks, Lesley Vodicska passed the single season steals record as she finished the game with a game high 7 steals.

With the win the Hawks move to 10-1 in conference play and 19-10 overall.

Next for the Hawks is William Jessup University this coming Saturday, February 20, 2010. This will conclude the regular season for the Hawks.
