HNU Hawks competed in the 17th Annual USF Invitational at Speedway Meadow on Saturday morning. The competitive field included Division 1 institutions, Holy Names and Mills College being the only NAIA schools.


HNU Hawks competed at the USF 17th Annual Invitational at Speedway Meadow on Saturday morning. The competitive field included Division 1 institutions, Holy Names and Mills College being the only NAIA schools. Leading the Hawks was senior Chenique Jackson finishing 75th (22:45:70). Following close behind were top freshman recruits Maricruz Espindola (79th, 23:02:20) and Laura Crabtree (82nd, 23:20:40). Rounding out the Lady Hawks top five were senior Jenna Pasillas (86th, 23:42:90) and freshman Katy Anklam (89th, 24:03:50).


Junior Alicia Torres (97th, 27:05:80) also ran for the Hawks on Saturday. Running unattached, freshman Brittany Lundberg finished 91th with a time of 24:27:70.


The Lady Hawks finished 9th in such competitive field with 279 points, overpowering Mills College who finished 10th (280 points).
