Oakland, CA - After working hard to erase a 33 point lead by the night before the Hawks would take on #18 Warner Pacific in the final night of the HNU Thanksgiving Classic. The Hawks would go down hard 95-71 and drop to 1-8 on the year. 
The first game of the night was between the Golden Eagles of John Brown University against the Keelhaulers of California State University, Maritime. The Golden Eagles would jump out to a 12-4 lead to start the game and would continue to build their lead in the first half to as much as 21. The Keelhaulers would fight back and would go into halftime with only down 14.
 
In the second half the Keelhaulers would cut the lead to 5, but the Golden Eagles would fight back and exchange baskets with the Keelhaulers. The Game would Andre Mederios missing a three pointer and the Keelhaulers would lose by 8 (51-59). The Golden Eagles were led by Coleson Rakestraw with 13 points. The Keelhaulers were led by Andrew Mederios with a game high 16 points.
 
The Hawks took on the Knights of Warner Pacific College in the last game of the Thanksgiving Classic. The Hawks would attempt to press the entire game and take the Knights out of their comfort level and by half time the Hawks would find themselves down 11. The Hawks struggle converting the Knights turnovers into points as well as the 11 offensive rebounds they went after.
 
In the second half the Hawks would come out flat and after three possessions, they would find themselves down 18 points. After a lack of transition defense and failure to block out the Knights extended their lead to as much as 31 points. The Hawks would make a run and cut the lead to 24, but that was as close they got. The Hawks drop their 3rd straight game and 8th overall.
 
The Hawks held themselves to 25% shooting from the field, and a horrible 47% from the free throw line.
 
Leading the Knight on the night was center Kaylone Riley who was one point away from a triple double with 9 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots.
 
The Hawks were led by junior guard Johnas Street with 16 points on the night. Sophomore David Scott also chipped in with 11 points. 
 
The Hawks look to get on track as they travel to Southern California to take on Div. III Whittier College and Occidental College on Saturday and Sunday December 5th and 6th.
